What is Elevated Yoga?

Elevated Yoga is a 420 friendly Virtual yoga class meant to be taken while high, although the use of cannabis is not required.

A calm + chill environment is created as we proceed through this Starr Fitness class combining elements of restorative yoga and the possibility of some typical asanas of power yoga (think warrior 2 or pyramid pose).

The goal of this class is to relieve stress and relax while lengthening muscles in a deep stretch.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you do not see your question answered below, feel free to fill out the contact form and reach out to get your questions answered before making a reservation for class.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Wear whatever you feel most comfortable in, that will allow you to move freely and stretch in.

Q: Anything I should prepare before class?

A: To be prepared, have the following props available, if you have any or all of them: a yoga mat, blocks, pillows or a yoga bolster, a blanket, a yoga strap or belt. Substitutions welcome!

Please arrive on time to be mindful of others taking the class and to help keep our virtual studio sacred. The Zoom room will be open 5 minutes before class starts and no one will be allowed in 5 minutes after class begins.

Q: Do I need to have my camera on during class?

A: Having your camera on for the entirety of class is highly recommended so Marla can see your form, make corrections and help with any adjustments.

Q: What if I’ve never done yoga before?

A: Watch and listen for the cues as we move through each pose. As with any yoga class, feel free to enjoy savasana for the entire class if it calls to you. Modifications are always offered to make class accessible for everyone.

Q: Will pictures be taken?

A: Nope! Not for this class unless specifically talked about. We want to respect this time together and understand that you may not want to share the “elevated” part of this class on the web.
